EXCLUSIVE SURVEY – The Israeli objective of eliminating Hamas continues to be seen as justified by a majority of French people, reveals an Ifop poll carried out for Crif. Due to its positions, La France insoumise divides more than ever.

The Israeli offensive in Rafah – notably the images of deaths and injuries in the fire of a camp for displaced people following an IDF bombardment at the end of May – and the decision of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against several Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have not caused a reversal of public opinion. This is one of the main lessons from a survey carried out from June 11 to 12 by Ifop for the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (Crif) that Le Figaro reveals exclusively.

Thus, eight months after the start of the war triggered by the terrorist group’s attack against the Jewish state on October 7, 30% of respondents feel “sympathy” for Israel.
