new hearing to record the conclusions of the additional information

BFMTV revealed it on May 28. THE additional information, requested by the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office, last January, in the Jubillar affair “does not provide any new elements”. This is what the investigating chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal should take note of during a hearing this Thursday where the conclusions of the new investigative actions carried out in recent months will be rendered.

Last January, the investigating chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal ordered additional information when the investigation was closed. The judge ordered the referral of Cédric Jubillar to an assize court for the murder of his wife in December 2020. But new elements had been brought to the attention of the courts, believing that the investigations should be reopened.

We were then talking about a recorded telephone exchange between an inmate, incarcerated for a time in the same prison as Cédric Jubillar, and his mother. As well as the testimonies of a woman and a man who claimed to have information to communicate on the Jubillar affair.

“No specific element”

Since then, new hearings have been carried out. “From these different testimonies, it turns out that no new element has been brought forward,” it is written in the summary report of the additional information from the gendarmes of the Toulouse research section, which BFMTV has could consult.

The 61-year-old woman who claimed, in an email sent to the courts last January, “to have often had the vision of Delphine”, and interviewed on April 10, “does not provide any specific information”. As for the detainee, interviewed on April 12 by the gendarmes of the Toulouse research section, he “refused to speak to them and does not want to recount his discussions with Cédric Jubillar”.

New remedies?

This additional information is therefore now complete. The conclusions will be delivered to the parties tomorrow as part of this hearing. Beyond these conclusions, the hearing this Thursday, June 20 will also aim to rule, once again, on the definitive referral of Cedric Jubillar to the Tarn assizes, so that he can be tried for the murder of his wife Delphine and to examine possible new appeals by the defense.

The decision should be reserved.
