In a completely different register, the Coordination welcomes the overwhelming majority rejection of the Senate bill aimed at banning bullfighting for children under sixteen.
« Thanks to the strong mobilization of bullfighting clubs, aficionados and elected officials, this proposal was rejected. Being an aficionado is also a militant act and this new attack must encourage us all to remain vigilant. »
In litigation for months, Patrick Laugier has reached the milestone.
The Coordination of the Bullfighting Clubs of Nîmes and Gard, was alerted, like many aficionados, of the problems encountered by the ganadero de toros bravos (Piedras Rojas and Dos Hermanas). Last Thursday, he launched a new hunger strike, carried out on the Place de la République in Arles.

Patrick Laugier is subject to a request to terminate his lease by his owner, the Conservatoire du Littoral, and risks no longer being able to graze his animals on the land of Mas de l'Ilon.
« It is obviously difficult for him to find a fallback solution, and to financially cope with the cost that a move would entail. There is therefore a real risk of the disappearance of a breeding of fighting bulls. On top of that, Patrick Laugier has to deal with illness. Also, we hope that a quick solution will be found thanks to the understanding of the different parties and the help of our elected officials, so that this ganaderia can continue. »

Bullfighting Cultures is the new weekly meeting for all bullfighting on France Bleu Gard Lozère in partnership with the Coordination of Bullfighting Clubs of Nîmes and Gard. Every Saturday and Sunday at 8:20 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. with our colleagues from France Bleu Gard Lozère on 90.2 FM.

In April 2023, the Coordination produced a theatrical performance entitled Defendants, stand up! The bullfighter summoned to appear before the Gard Assize Court.
“We have decided to publish the entire text written by Emmanuel Durand, as well as all the interventions of the artist, psychiatrist, veterinarian, matador, empresa, ganadero… This book is illustrated by the sketches of our legal designer. one evening, Eddie Pons and by the photographs of Roé and Michel Chauvierre.
This work is available for sale at the Teissier bookstore (rue Régale in Nîmes), at the l'Itinéraire bookstore (rue des Arènes in Nîmes), at the Acte Sud bookstore in Arles, as well as on the Coordination website.
