Olympic boxing champion Brahim Asloum reacted strongly to the denigration campaign experienced by Sarah Ourahmoune, co-candidate for president of the federation.

This story put the former Olympic champion beside himself. Brahim Asloum did not mince his words on Tuesday November 12 on the set of La Chaîne l'Equipe in order to defend Sarah Ourahmoune. The Olympic boxing vice-champion, candidate for president of the federation, decided to throw in the towel on Monday, November 11. “Scandalized and affected” by the attacks she was the target of during the campaign by other members of the federation.

Which did not fail to make the Sydney Olympic champion react. “But who do you think you are? This group of collective of coaches, three quarters of them have not done a tenth of what this champion has done”, launched Brahim Asloum to the detractors of Sarah Ourahmoune. “They allow themselves to disrespect her. She is much more cultured than three-quarters of the coaches in this collective. But who do you think you are […] but what an example of shit,” he continued, visibly touched by what the former boxer went through.

As a reminder, Sarah Ourahmoune said in an open letter that she discovered “with sincere pain that my sport, the one I loved so much, is going through a period of suffering that goes beyond simple rivalries.” She recounts in particular the despicable “racist and sexist attacks” to which she was subjected and which dictated her choice to withdraw, but also insults such as “the Arab on duty” or even “the cleaning lady of the federation” .
