The alert was triggered this Wednesday, June 19 around 5:30 p.m., at the Gaec de la Lizaine, avenue Jean-Jaurès in Héricourt. A fire broke out in a flat silo containing nearly 500 m³ of dry grass, covered with a tarpaulin and tires. This caused a huge cloud of black smoke, visible from afar.

A dozen firefighters from the Lure and Héricourt centers were dispatched to the site under the orders of the group leader, Lieutenant Mascaro. They quickly brought the disaster under control, which caused no casualties or damage to the farm. Their intervention prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby building.
