JAKARTA – Anies Baswedan asked the public who supported him to no longer discuss the 2024 presidential election. After losing the presidential election, Anies announced that he would run as a candidate for governor of DKI Jakarta .
Thus, Anies asked his supporters to focus on the implementation of the 2024 elections. This was conveyed while attending the silaturahmi event organized by the Peduli Jakarta community.
“The phase of the struggle yesterday is over,” closes the book. Now the new phase begins and what are we focusing on? For Jakarta residents who need attention, Jakarta residents who need the hands of the state,” said Anies in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, June 19.
Anies also highlighted a number of problems faced now by Jakarta residents, one of which is the problem of former Kampung Bayam residents no longer having access to Kampung Susun Bayam Residence (KSB).
Anies also highlighted the Jakarta Provincial Government’s policy of lifting the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax Exemption Policy (UN-P2) in all houses with BPOP less than Rp. 2 billion.
A tax exemption for houses below Rp. 2 billion was previously issued by Anies Baswedan when he was Governor of DKI Jakarta.
“I am with yesterday, there was a United Nations that changed in Jakarta. This is an example of a policy that we must take forward, it is a policy that is partial, to what? Justice,” Anies said.
Anies said he was still focused on Jakarta’s issues and preparing policy ideas brought forward during his bid for the 2024 elections. So although he received support from the party, Anies did not wonder who was the right person to be his partner’s vice-governor.
“Recently, I am often asked: “Sir, who is the partner?” “. Not about this. The most important thing is how to enable the people of Jakarta to live peacefully, to prosper, to feel justice. Our goal is there and this is part of what we worked together in Jakarta. Later, God permitting, I hope we will continue,” he explained.
