Maine-et-Loire. Old-time atmosphere with the 12th edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage this weekend

Of June 28 to 30, Anjou dons his old clothes to welcome the 12th edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage starting from Saumur (Maine-et-Loire). Immerse yourself in a retro atmosphere where participants transform into characters from a bygone era.

At the heart of this unique celebration, the routes d’Anjou come alive as participants, dressed in their finest vintage attire, prepare to discover the region’s treasures.

Hikes of 30 to 150 kilometers

THE hiking, ranging from 30 to 105 kilometersare an invitation to discover the heritage and terroir of Anjouwhere each pedal stroke reveals new culinary and wine treasures.

All hikes depart from Saumur (Maine-et-Loire).

Between tastings of local specialties and stops in remarkable places, participants immerse themselves in the authentic soul of Anjou, while enjoying breathtaking bucolic landscapes.

Even if you are not a fan of old-fashioned cycling, it is essential to find a mount to start a ride. To do this, there is only one imperative: check that your bicycle meets the following criteria:

• Bicycle manufactured before 1987.
• Frame mounted shifters, not handlebar mounted.
• Ordinary pedals or toe clips (automatic pedals excluded).

10,700: this is the number of participants expected in 2024. When it was created in 2011, the event had only 500 participants. An exponential growth.
