A new Vénerie day, in September, at the Château de Carrouges

After the success of the 2023 edition, the Carrouges castle relaunches its event Loud and clear to liven up summer days. There jtour of the VènerieSunday September 8, will detail the world of hunting with houndswith demonstrations, shows and entertainment.

The program

After the doors open at 10 a.m. to access the castle lawn, at 10:30 a.m. the show “The Unicorn Hunt” by the Licorne Company, with horses, music, songs and acrobatics.

At 11 a.m., on the main lawn, place for the mass of Saint-Hubert presided over by Mgr de Germiny, bishop emeritus of Blois but native of Saint-Maurice-du-Désert, with the horns of Écouves. Noon will announce the time for an aperitif on the lawn of the Châtelet before a “Country Party” lunch, from 12:15 p.m., on the Verger side.

Falconry and equestrian brigade

The main lawn will host presentations of National Pin Studat 1:30 p.m., then the Kermaingant crew, at 14h. Without any downtime, at 2:30 p.m., a falconry show by Les Ailes de l’Urga will take over Pelouse du bois. The show “The Hunt for the Unicorn” resumes at 3 p.m.

At 3:30 p.m., the Haras national du Pin and the equestrian brigade of the national gendarmerie will be there before raising awareness about the fight against forest fires by the Sdis de l’Orne, at 4 p.m.

After a second session of falconry show at 4:30 p.m., it will already be the finale at 5:15 p.m. with “A day of hunting in Carrouges” where dogs, riders and ringers will summarize in a few minutes the progress of an entire day.

Artisan village

Throughout the day there will be a village of artisans and associations with activities and demonstrations for the whole family. Of the exhibitions Thematic photographs and postcards are also planned. Children are not forgotten, between wooden games and discovery of nature.
