In a press release, Olympique Lyonnais reveals the new contours of a revamped sports unit. Director of recruitment since the summer of 2023, Matthieu Louis-Jean has been promoted to technical director but will continue to take care of recruitment. “In this major role, Matthieu Louis-Jean will be the driving force behind all initiatives linked to sporting performance in order to put excellence back at the heart of the project which must bring OL back to the top,” writes the club. Jean Sudres is appointed director of sports administration and Daniel Congré sports coordinator for the Pierre Sage staff. “Former defender with nearly 500 professional matches to his credit, Daniel Congré will bring his experience as a player. He will thus strengthen our technical supervision within the staff while ensuring the implementation of the sporting strategy with the players in collaboration with Pierre Wise”, specifies OL about him.
