Audi restyles its e-Tron GT and offers three versions for the price of one!

The time for restyling has come for the e-Tron GT. The large electric sedan is therefore getting up to date, with a revised design and an even more impressive technical sheet. The icing on the cake is that Audi now offers its model in S, RS and RS performance. Three versions for the price of one… So to speak.

It has already been 4 years since Audi introduced the e-Tron GT into its range. Since 2020, we cannot say that the large electric sedan has been a commercial success, in particular because of its elitist price. Which does not prevent it from being a fantastic technological showcase for the brand with the rings, which has decided to give it a second lease of life, through a mid-term restyling.

In addition to a discreet makeover, this restyling is above all an opportunity for Audi to expand the e-Tron GT family. Three versions will now be offered in the catalog: S, RS and RS Performance. The first is logically the most sober, while the last is entitled to decorative carbon fiber inserts on the exterior, some of which are available as standard. The light signature has been revised on all versions, as have the shields which have been redesigned. Audi is also enriching the color chart with new body colors and adding new rims to the options catalog.

Up to 925 horsepower under the right foot!

In the passenger compartment, the changes are more discreet. The dashboard uses the same furniture, however with new decorative inserts depending on the version. The e-Tron GT features a new double-flat steering wheel which, on the RS and RS Performance versions, is equipped with additional red paddles dedicated to the temporary power boost. The Virtual Cockpit display is customizable. That of the RS Performance can, for example, adopt white counters, in homage to the Audi RS2.

All three versions are equipped with 3 electric motors: 2 on the front axle and 1 at the rear. The S e-Tron GT has 679 horsepower, compared to 856 for the RS and 925 for the RS Performance! According to Audi, they can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4, 2.8 and 2.5 seconds respectively. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h (245 km/h on the S e-Tron GT). Different driving modes allow you to adapt the power, including a new Performance mode reserved for the most energetic version of the three.

Audi also replaced the battery with a new module that is 9 kg lighter, still weighing 625 kg. This has a net capacity of 97 kWh. The brand announces the possibility of recovering 280 kilometers of autonomy in just 10 minutes and can go from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes, on a fast charging station. Audi promises a range of up to 609 kilometers in the WLTP cycle for the S e-Tron GT. The other two versions should display lower autonomy.

With 679 horsepower, the S e-Tron GT already offers enough horsepower

It remains to bring up the angry subject. Audi announces a base price of 128,250 euros. However, it only concerns the ” small “ S e-Tron GT. The RS version rises to 162,400 euros, while the RS Performance starts at 175,350 euros. There is therefore no point in mentioning any ecological bonus. However, we can console ourselves by comparing these prices to those of its technical cousin, the Porsche Taycan. The Audi comes close in terms of performance, but is still a good notch below in terms of prices.
