The great musical marathon organized by Tous en scène took over Le Temps Machine, Saturday June 15, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. The walls vibrated to the various rhythms of the students of the contemporary music school. The concert made it possible, for the first time, to bring together all the amateur or leisure students and those with professional training.

A good hundred musicians, playing in groups, took to the stage one after the other for seven hours of live performance. Supervised by their teachers, they worked on pieces all year long, arranged and written in their own way. Each group plays two pieces, explains Virginie Beaume, communications manager. This year, we’re breaking habits a bit. This event has been taking place for a long time at l’Escale, in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire. »

“A marathon also for the organizational team”

A large, intergenerational audience was able to discover and applaud the entire range of current music: songs, rock, hard rock, jazz, pop. Many former students came to see their friends, or, having become parents, with their children. Today, everyone can meet and get together. Why Marathon? Because there are a lot of people, but it’s also a marathon for the team (the fifteen employees and volunteers)smiles Virginie. Typically, five hundred to six hundred people sail all day. And we have our official, professional photographer, who works to offer beautiful memories to students, happy to see themselves in photos. »

“We see the fruit of the year’s work”

A beautiful atmosphere reigned this Sunday, with a stage open to everyone: the comings and goings of musicians, before, during, after their appearance on stage, connoisseurs, amateurs, curious people not hesitating to inquire on this renowned music school, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Claire and Damien, sitting on the floor at the foot of the stage, appreciated: We come from Montlouis to discover Côme and Olympe with our children. » Outside, Tom, Bastien, Camille, in professional cycle, wait for their passage in the second part, around 8 p.m.: It’s a great event for the school, we see the fruit of the year’s work. It’s good, this leisure-professional mix. It’s a great way to get together and play in great conditions! »
