Toxic fumes bothered a 12 year old girl. At the start of the afternoon, shortly after 2:30 p.m., Monday November 11, 2024, firefighters were mobilized to a fire in the town center of Barentin.

It is in the kitchen of an apartment located in a 3-story building on rue Madeleine-Vernet that the fire started.

When emergency services arrived on site, they evacuated the residents and took care of the young girl, sole occupant of the apartment at the time of the facts. She is poisoned by the fumes.

Two people relocated

The fire was quickly brought under control by the firefighters and the young victim was immediately taken care of and transported to the pediatric emergency room of the University Hospital.

Fire damage requires rehousing two people. They are taken care of by their family. In total, 19 firefighters and 5 engines were deployed for this intervention.
