More than three years after season 2, Hippocrates is finally back on Canal+! The encrypted channel is broadcasting the first two episodes of season 3 this Monday, November 11. Alice Belaïdiwhich comes from the gigantic cinema success ofA little something extra, Louise Bourgoin, Karim Leklou, Zacharie Chasseriaud et Bouli Lanners are obviously back in front of the camera Thomas Liltithe ex-doctor turned filmmaker and author.
Hippocrates : Where is the excellent medical series with Alice Belaïdi and Louise Bourgoin filmed?
Since its beginnings in 2018, Hippocrates stood out (among other things) for its attention to detail, precision and realism, in the jargon used, gestures, medical cases and decor. And precisely, if this decor seems larger than life, it’s probably because it is! Thomas Lilti's series is in fact filmed in a real hospital, and has been since the very first season, as Alice Belaïdi reveals: “Yes, we are still at the Robert-Ballanger hospital in Aulnay-sous-Bois, either in the wards or in a disused wing.” A particular decor which is not without sometimes comical consequences: “These are always a bit special filming conditions, because sometimes, when emergencies happen, we have to stop everything or go elsewhere!” And in terms of comedy, that of coming across real caregivers when going through a door, which has happened more than once according to the actors in the series, isn't bad either.

ATTENTION SPOILERS ! In this 3rd season, the hospital hosts… a filming! And this is how the caregivers come across actors playing the role of doctors in the corridors and then, lacking the means, find themselves, in a wonderful scene, having to dig into the accessories of the series for real equipment for treatment. A mise en abyme which goes beyond the amused and amusing wink, as Alice Bélaïdi points out: “We really experienced this scene during Covid. In 2020, before the first confinement, we were filming and we gave all our equipment to the Robert-Ballanger hospital which no longer had gowns, respirators , etc. I suppose that Thomas was inspired by this totally crazy situation which demonstrated that we, in the cinema, had more resources than in the public hospital!” An anecdote which actually says a lot about the state of the health system and which gives even more flesh and weight to Hippocrates. One more reason to discover this excellent 3rd season, starting this Monday, November 11 on Canal+!
