This year being marked by the Olympic Games, the municipality, in conjunction with the Department, wanted to join this sporting momentum by organizing Olympic Day. The event promises to put sport in the spotlight in all its forms, Saturday June 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The goal is to bring together young and old around the values ​​of Olympism.

Demonstrations, hikes…

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to learn about various disciplines, thanks to demonstrations organized by the town’s sports clubs and associations. In particular, judo, archery, football, tennis, BMX or even… pétanque, which is certainly not yet an Olympic sport, but who knows?

These activities will take place in the heart of the city, on the Esplanade, Square Maury, and Place de la Mairie. These events will be free and open to all. The opportunity to discover new sports or to shine, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

Love nature and local history? A guided heritage hike awaits you, departing at 10 a.m. from the Esplanade de Florac, near the Léon-Boyer stele. This three-hour hike, entitled “Discovering the Gralhon trail”, offers an 8 km route with an elevation gain of 332 m.
