This investment represents an acquisition of 10% of the company’s capital for an amount of 17 million euros, as announced by the group Visabeiraowner of the brand.

Vista Alegre Atlantisfounded two centuries ago, is celebrating its bicentenary this year, and the arrival of Ronaldo is seen as a strategic asset for its international expansion. The group Visabeira expressed its satisfaction with the integration of Ronaldoone of the most respected and admired personalities of the Portugal, in his circle of investors. This collaboration also provides for a 30% stake in the Spanish subsidiary of Vista Alegre and the development of projects aimed at developing the group’s brands on the Asian market.

Ronaldo has always been a keen admirer of products from Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro, another artistic brand owned by Visabeira. He expressed his pride in supporting the globalization strategy of these companies and contributing to their growth. For him, this investment is a way of actively participating in the influence of iconic Portuguese brands on a global scale.

The group, which generates nearly 70% of its sales abroad, recorded a turnover of 129.6 million euros, thus asserting its position on the European and American markets. This new association with Cristiano Ronaldo could further boost sales and strengthen the presence of Vista Alegre Atlantis on the international scene.

Alongside his sporting career, Ronaldo has already demonstrated his talents as a shrewd businessman. In addition to this investment in porcelain, he has stakes in the media group Cofina and in the hotel industry with the Pestana group, originating like him from the island of Madeira. Ranked as the highest paid sportsman in the world in 2023 by Forbes, with earnings reaching $136 million, Ronaldo is actively preparing for his career change after football.
