On November 7, Larissa Rajaonarivelo, chef from Reunion, distinguished herself on the international scene by obtaining second place in the Cuillère d'Or competition in Paris in the “professional kitchen trophy” category.
This event, reserved exclusively for women, aims to promote gastronomic excellence among women. Larissa Rajaonarivelo was selected as a finalist from over a hundred applicants from around the world.
The final, organized at the Ferrandi School, brought together eight candidates from various backgrounds, all selected for their talent and creativity. During this edition, participants had to take on two culinary challenges: making a dish and a dessert.
Chef Larissa wowed the jury with cuisine reflecting the identity of her native island, blending local flavors and technical refinement. The Club Export Réunion, committed to promoting local talent internationally, claims to have “played a key role in the chef’s participation in this competition”.
It allowed Larissa Rajaonarivelo to benefit from “logistical support and increased visibility in Paris. This distinction highlights the dynamism of Reunionese gastronomy and the potential of the island's female talents to establish themselves in the biggest competitions”, concludes the Export Club.
