An 18 year old man will probably lose a foot from a simple firecracker. The dramatic scene took place during the night from Saturday to Sunday in the town of Bezons in the middle of the street. When the firefighters intervened, shortly after midnight, they found a victim on the ground, rue de la Berthie. The young man was seriously injured in one foot. He was evacuated as an absolute emergency to the Argenteuil hospital center.
Impossible at the moment what really happened that night. What might seem like a simple accident while playing with a small explosive device may not be as innocent as it seems. The hypothesis of a brawl between rival gangs is also mentioned to explain the facts. A firecracker could have been thrown by one of his groups towards the opponent. Did the victim step on it by bad luck or did he want to extinguish the fireworks accessory or move it away? The investigation will probably reveal more. But this weekend, the injured young man, originally from Bezons, obviously could not be heard by the police. His condition was still worrying and amputation was considered.
