A violent road accident occurred this Friday morning in the town of La Calamine. Shortly before midday, according to the tire marks on the road, a driver lost control of his vehicle, for a reason that remains to be determined, in the village of Hergenrath. The car then found itself in the opposite lane and collided head-on with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. Both cars were heavily damaged in the impact and the drivers, injured but still conscious, were taken to hospital.
A stolen scooter… stolen
This serious accident is, however, not the only intervention by the police in the Vesdre-Gueule area this Friday. Just before 6 p.m., a pileup occurred between three vehicles in Eupen. Two people suffering from neck and chest pain were taken to hospital.
Around 11 p.m., a 16-year-old boy reported the theft of his electric scooter in Calamine. Except that, shortly after these events, the alleged thief informed his victim… that other young people had just in turn stolen this famous scooter!
Finally, shortly after 3 a.m. on the night of Friday to Saturday, a person from Eupen reported abnormal noises coming from the basement of his house. On site, he realized that jewelry and a large quantity of cash had been stolen from a cupboard. Outside, he spots two individuals dressed all in black trying to escape. They probably entered the home through an open window at the rear of it.
