Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other world leaders presented their condolences to King Mohammed VI following the death on Saturday June 29 of Princess Lalla Latifa, wife of the late Hassan II and mother of the sovereign.

“I was saddened to hear the news of your mother’s death. Following this sad news which has left you and the royal family in mourning, I would like to present, in my name and on behalf of the Algerian people, to your majesty, my sincere condolences,” wrote Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in a message addressed to the King Mohammed VI.

In a message addressed to King Mohammed VI, Jordanian King Abdullah II presented the condolences of the Jordanian people and government to the sovereign, the royal family and the Moroccan people. The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also sent a message of condolences to King Mohammed VI. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court, did the same.

The French Embassy in Morocco joins this global outpouring of sympathy and support for the Moroccan royal family. “Following the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, the French Ambassador to Morocco presents his saddened condolences to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to Their Royal Highnesses the princes and princesses, to all members of the royal family and to all the Moroccan people,” reads a post on X.
