In the middle of the afternoon, around 3 p.m., a 23-year-old young man was shot and killed in the Gros-Saule district, in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). Living in Aulnay, he collapsed under a porch near the Square du Prince-de-Galles. A Peugeot 3008 was seen passing by shortly after 3 p.m., then passing again five minutes later.
Then the vehicle stopped and a man got out from the passenger side. Witnesses saw him run towards the porch and fire “with an assault rifle at a man sitting on the steps,” said a source close to the investigation. The victim immediately staggered, mortally wounded. This time, his murderer left him no escape. Indeed, “he had already been targeted by shots on August 3, 2023,” continues our source.
The killer left in the Peugeot, “in the direction of the Jean-Monnet crossroads, then the N 104”. The victim was taken care of by third parties aboard a Golf and transported to the Robert-Balanger hospital in Aulnay. He presented “a wound running from the left armpit to the right, specifies this same source which adds: five shell casings were found on the ground and three impacts noted in a wall”.
A premeditated murder
“The criminal brigade is seized of the facts classified as assassination by an organized gang,” specifies the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office. A qualification which indicates that the facts were premeditated. The possibility of a contract on the head of this young man is looming.
Very little is still known about the motive for the murder. The Prince of Wales Square porch is known to be a deal point. But it is still premature to say whether this homicide is linked to drug trafficking. At the end of April, in Aulnay, a 16-year-old teenager was seriously injured by gunfire. And at the beginning of May, a 33-year-old man was shot in the back there.
