Ode to life at the Bonduelle gallery (Lille center)

Marie Remmery-Roulland.

His sculptures are deeply imbued with mysticism. Guided by his instinct and his emotions, Marie Remmery-Roulland navigates a world where life and death coexist intimately. In 1987, the artist met Jean Roulland. The master taught him the technique of lost wax and bronze which founded the unwavering bond of their union in 1998. An ode to life, death and resurrection, his art forged from multiple influences bears witness to a long spiritual journey through time and history.

The night, the tree and the mask at Cédric Bacqueville (Old Lille)

The gallery owner presents for the first time the work of two artists whose universes, although different, share the same attraction for the imagination and dreaminess through hybrid, open and enigmatic forms. Bonding, ceramic, textile, brass, wax or wood… Anne Breton favors raw material which she works with care to create sculptures with flexible, ovoid shapes concealing a mysterious hidden life.

Painter and designer, Alexis Nivelle uses mise en abyme and colored pencils to create empty living rooms and deserted spaces where familiar silhouettes sneak in, which he stages while drawing inspiration from his own paintings.
