The Palestinian presidency announced that Donald Trump spoke by telephone with the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. During the call, the US president-elect reportedly pledged to work “to end the war” and that he was “ready to work with President Abbas and relevant parties in the region and around the world to achieve peace in the region”.
For his part, President Abbas would have hoped for Donald Trump’s success and said he was ready to work with him “to achieve a just and complete peace based on international legitimacy”, the presidency said in a statement.
