The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE would feature the same 50 Mpx main sensor as its predecessor. On paper, the device could in these conditions only evolve very little in terms of photography, but that’s not all.

We know that to better control its production costs, Samsung likes to reuse the same photo sensors from one smartphone to another. We learned today that the Korean giant would use this “trick” again for its future Galaxy S24 FE.

If we believe the information unearthed by the Dutch site GalaxyClub, sometimes well-informed, the firm would indeed use for the S24 FE a 1/1.57 inch 50 Mpx main sensor, which we had already seen on the Galaxy S23 and S23 FE in the past.

Little change in the photo for the S24 FE?

On paper, the Galaxy S24 FE would not mark any particular turning point in the photo. But this is not enough to allow us to prejudge its rendering quality. The sensor is just one part of a bigger whole. The SoC used is also of great importance since it delivers its full potential when shooting. The processing and software optimizations of Samsung’s teams are also capable of working wonders.

And speaking of SoC, it is likely that the Galaxy S24 FE will follow in the footsteps of its big brother, the S23 FE, by opting for the previous generation chip, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from the Galaxy S23. And that would be a very good idea, as this processor remains in good condition today.

It would therefore integrate the S24 FE, which could arrive on the market at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025. The device would still be in development, but it is not excluded that Samsung will market it at the end of the year in certain markets, before a global launch in early 2025. Response in the coming months.
