Clearly, we must believe that the players are never happy! This is indeed what we could say following Bethesda’s gift to the Starfield community. Lately, the space title has deployed an update with bonus credits for owners of the Premium version of the game. Yes, but here it is…

Starfield players unhappy with Bethesda’s gift

A little is never enough, and as we told you, the Starfield developers wanted to thank Starfield players for their loyalty. For that, they offered a bonus of 1,000 free creation credits for everyone who owns the Premium version of said title via the update of June 9. Thanks to these, they can take the opportunity to have fun via the Creation Club by unlocking some mods but also certain quests without spending real money.

Yes, but unfortunately, you have to believe that 1,000 credits is not much! Indeed, if we look at social networks and more particularly at X (formerly Twitter), some believe that this sum is completely derisory and that 10,000 credits would have been much more interesting: according to them, the prices are much too high across Starfield and the credits go very very quickly (which is not totally false). For example, one player explains that you have to spend 7 dollars (or 700 credits) to have access to a quest, and others do not understand that you have to pay for mods.

$7 for a single bounty target is NOT the way to go. The game is already lacking in content. This kind of monetization will scare everyone away. I’ve played hundreds of hours and this decision makes me never want to touch it again.

Wait, so… we don’t have any more mods, we now have to pay for “creations”? I think you should clean this up quickly because if you do, a lot of people are going to be upset.

A system to review?

Starfield isn’t the only Bethesda game to benefit from Creation Club since Fallout 4, to name but a few, also benefits from it. As a result, players can also, through the latter, get their hands on certain mods to have a slightly more fun experience, but what angers the community is not this Creation Club but the fact that mods have become paid.

Originally, the community ensured that the mods created by it were available completely free of charge, but today it is clear that the policy has changed, to the great misfortune of players. Let’s hope that in the future the developers at Bethesda decide to make them free again or at least drastically lower the prices…
