A 21-year-old young woman was sentenced this Wednesday by the Paris court to eight months in prison for involuntary injuries resulting in an ITT of more than three months and acquisition and transfer of narcotics, reports The Parisian. The facts date back to the evening of August 26 to 27, 2020, during which the young woman, then aged 18, supplied LSD to a 16-year-old while they were having a festive time with friends. The teenager reacted badly to taking this hallucinogen, starting to scream and making incoherent comments.

He lets go of his hand to throw himself into the void

The young woman then decides to let him get some fresh air, thinking that this might calm him down. But on the contrary, the symptoms worsen and while she calls to passers-by for help, he lets go of her hand and jumps to the parapet of the Quai des Orfèvres. The emergency services were notified but frightened, she left the scene because she was the one who supplied the drugs.

The teenager suffers from serious head trauma and today there are still after-effects such as “attention problems, memory problems, depression…”, his lawyer argues at the hearing. The defendant’s counsel highlights the fact that her client could not anticipate the consequences of this consumption, which she did not instigate. But for the prosecution “by agreeing to supply the product, it contributes to creating the situation which allowed the creation of this damage. »
