The sky became a little overcast this Thursday, June 13, 2024 above Le Mans but not enough to discourage the thousands of spectators who were already on the circuit at the start of the afternoon. Whether in the village or around the track, everyone wants to take advantage of this second day of testing, two days before the start of the race.

Waiting for the Hyperpole

The atmosphere is good-natured in the bays of the Sarthe circuit as the cars set off for the 3rd free practice session. This started at 3 p.m. and will end at 6 p.m. Objective for the teams and drivers: continue to make their mark on the circuit.

Jerseys on their backs or flags in their hands, the supporters of the different teams impatiently await the high point of the day: the battle for the Hyperpole. The eight best cars in each category will start at 8 p.m. for thirty minutes of racing which will determine the order on the starting grid on Saturday June 15, at 4 p.m.

The program of the day

On the sidelines of the competition, the manufacturer and hydrogen villages remain open to the public, like the family and the Fan zone. The funfair is also ready to welcome the most adventurous.

On the concert side, the Toulouse duo Bigflo and Oli are expected from 8:30 p.m. The concerts end at 11 p.m., at the same time as the fourth and final free practice session which will start an hour earlier, at 10 p.m.
