A Grenoble tram driver was targeted by a tear gas bomb on the night of Thursday November 8 to Friday 9, France Bleu Isère has learned. A man threw the device from outside the train, on line B at the Alsace-Lorraine stop, in the city center. He then fled.
The driver was hit in the face and was taken to hospital, where he remained under observation as of Friday morning. The national police speak of“a gratuitous attack”for no apparent reason. This new attack occurred when the agents of M’Tag, the metropolis’ transport network, had just returned to work this Thursday. They had exercised their right of withdrawal for two days, after a man threatened a bus conductor with a gun in Echirolles on Tuesday.
