The story could have been much more tragic. A fire broke out around 10:15 p.m. this Thursday, November 7, on a farm in Saulieu on the Chemin d’Autun, in Côte-d’Or.
The first flames appeared in the farmhouse late in the evening. The disaster is located in the central part of the 500 square meter building according to the Côte-d’Or departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis). The fire then gradually spread to residential buildings and outbuildings.
The three residents of the place were able to be evacuated by the firefighters to be taken care of by the emergency services. 31 firefighters were deployed for this intervention. The violence of the furnace required four spears in action to be contained.
