The alert was given at 8:45 a.m. this Thursday morning for a fire breaking out at the Legoupil Industrie company in Vire in Calvados. The company, specializing in demountable industrial buildings and modular construction, is located rue de la Planche in the Vire business area.
The fire started in the paint booth. No one was injured, Calvados firefighters said. The 90 employees who were on site were evacuated and sent home while the fire was put out.
A seemingly accidental fire
Calvados firefighters deployedimportant means to overcome the disaster. Eight rescue centers are involved, 26 firefighters were sent to the site as well as eleven vehicles. Two lances were necessary for theextinguishing the fire, indicates Codis 14.
