The city of Casablanca provides citizens with a weekly bulletin of the wholesale prices of the meats, fruits and vegetables most in demand on the markets. Prices are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the quality of the product and its origin. Vegetables: marked drop in the price of carrots
For this week, the prices of several vegetables headlights remained stable. THE tomatoes, squash et apples of earth maintained their prices of 4.50 DH/kg, 5.50 DH/kg and 5.50 DH/kg respectively. However, a slight increase was noted for fresh onionsthe price of which increased from 2.70 DH/kg to 2.80 DH/kg.
The main variation concerns the carrotswhich continue to fall, reaching 2.50 DH/kg, against 4.50 DH/kg the previous week.
Fruits: decline in local bananas and citrus fruits
On the side of fruitsthe trend is towards stability for certain products, notably lawyersTHE imported bananas and the appleswith respective prices of 17 DH/kg, 13 DH/kg and 9 DH/kg. However, several declines were noted, particularly for local bananaswhich decrease to 7.50 DH/kg against 8 DH/kg last week. THE oranges also experienced a notable reduction, going from 6.30 DH/kg to 5 DH/kg, while the price of grenade drop of 50 cents to reach 4 DH/kg.
Increase in prices of sheep and beef
For the meatthe maximum price per kilogram of viande ovine increased by 5 dirhams, reaching 130 DH/kg. There viande bovine also experienced a slight increase of 1 dirham, reaching 94 DH/kg.
