Two of the six Nîmes arrested this Tuesday, November 5as part of the investigation into the fire at the police office in the Pissevin district, in Nîmes, will be presented to justice. The facts date back to the night of August 20 to 21in Nîmes. The brand new police office had only just been installed when the adjacent business, a butcher's shop, is set on firecausing such damage to the police premises that it became impossible to open the doors, a few days before the official inauguration.
On site, investigators found l’essencethe criminal trail is favored. After more than two months of investigation, six people from Nîmes were arrested, men between 15 and 28 years old. The youngest admits to having set the fire. He is known to the courts for acts related to drug trafficking in the neighborhood. The other alleged perpetrator is a 28 year old man, also known in the fight against drug trafficking in Pissevin. The other four people were released.
The alleged perpetrators will be presented to justice : the first before the children's judge since he is a minor. The second will go to prison before his immediate appearance this Friday.
