On the night of Wednesday November 6 to Thursday November 7, a fire broke out around 2:50 a.m. in the morning on a farm in the town of Baigneux-les-Juifs, 27 kilometers east of Montbard, in the north of the Côte-d'Or. An agricultural shed of 1,000 square meters, completely filled with foddercaught fire.
THE flames spread quickly towards another building, used for the manufacture of rapeseed oil, requiring a major intervention by firefighters.
No injuries but the material toll is heavy
Emergency services deployed enormous means to contain the fire and protect surrounding buildings. In all, three structures had to be preserved from the flames to avoid a heavier toll. Fortunately, no casualties is to be deplored in this fire.
In total, 31 firefighters were mobilized for this complex intervention. As the fire is still ongoing, firefighters remain mobilized to limit the damage and control persistent outbreaks.
