This November 25, 2024, storm Bert sweeps part of France, notably causing strong gusts of wind. But to this should be added a very fleeting Cévennes episode in Occitanie at the end of the afternoon.
This Monday, storm Bert causes severe bad weather in Centre-Val-de-Loire, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Occitanie, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur.
But at the same time, heavy rains are likely to occur towards the Mediterranean coast. This precipitation should form in the reliefs of the north of the region, typical of a Cévennes episode, indicates The Weather Channel.
Three departments concerned

“However, these strong winds are accompanied by rain which increases in Ardèche and Lozère until Monday evening when a Cévennes episode of low to moderate intensity is in place”, explains the latest bulletin from the weather forecast site.
What to expect?
With the winds weakening late in the afternoon, stormy rain will occur: “Note that a brief episode of heavy stormy rain concerns the Cévennes this Monday, with accumulations which could very occasionally reach 100 to 150 mmwhich can cause some hydrological reactions without a really aggravating nature, but which should nevertheless be monitored in Ardèche”, pose The Weather Channel.
Several showers have already hit the area this morning: “However, these strong winds are accompanied by rain which increases in Ardèche and Lozère until Monday evening when a Cévennes episode of low to moderate intensity is in place.”
