Marion Maréchal is running for a position as a European deputy under Eric Zemmour’s party, Reconquest. Granddaughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, the founder of the National Front, Marion Maréchal got involved in politics with her grandfather before leaving the movement, taken over by her aunt, Marine Le Pen. Her mother is Yann Le Pen, born in 1963, she is the older sister of Marine Le Pen. She is the second daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen and Pierrette Lalanne.

Between 2009 and 2014, Yann Le Pen was also a parliamentary assistant to Bruno Gollnisch. She is the mother of three children, of whom Marion Maréchal is the eldest. Her biological father is the journalist Roger Auque, who never wanted to recognize her. Marion Maréchal was therefore adopted at the age of two by Samuel Maréchal with whom her mother had started a new life. A year after the death of Roger Auque at the age of 58, his memoirs Au service secret de la République were published. He confirms being the biological father of Marion Maréchal whom he met in 2002, reported Purepeople. The 34-year-old’s parents, Samuel Maréchal and Yann Le Pen, also had two sons, Romain and Tanguy Maréchal. They divorced in 2007.

Friday June 7, Marion Maréchal shared a rare photograph of her children. The politician posted on her Instagram account, followed by 177,000 people, a photo of her and her two daughters, Olympe and Clotilde. Very discreet about her private life, Marion Maréchal keeps her little daughters away from the cameras. This is why, in the photo, we cannot see their faces. The children are photographed from behind, hugging their mother who is crouching in the grass. The latter takes the opportunity to kiss her eldest daughter, Olympe, who will celebrate her tenth birthday next September.
