It’s D-day: this Sunday June 9, since 8 a.m.are played the European elections, for which some 49 million French people are called to vote. At the end, 81 European deputies will be elected, for a period of 5 years. In France, as a reminder, a list must obtain at least 5% of the votes to have representatives in the European Parliament.

Europeans 2024: the participation rate at midday in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais

At noon this Sunday, June 9, it’s the traditional milestone to know the participation rate. In France, it is 19.86%. What about the Nord Pas de Calais ?

North: 18.80% (against 17.68% in 2019 at the same time).

Pas-de-Calais: 22.10% (compared to 24.88% in 2019)

In 2019, at the end of the European elections, the participation rate was as follows: 49.58% in the North (45.82% in Lille) and 53.11% in Pas-de-Calais. 50.12% of French people went to the polls (this was almost a point below the European average, at 51%).
