The city vibrated to the rhythm of the 21st edition of Rendez-vous aux Jardins. The festive event, co-organized by fifteen local associations with the support of the municipality, brought together residents and visitors around numerous activities celebrating nature and ecology.

The music school delighted the market with a traditional music concert, marking a great opening for the day. The results of the Maison Fleurie competition were announced on Place Georges-Ville, followed by an aperitif from the Renaissance du Vieux Pont association.

The creative workshops and discussions were in full swing throughout the afternoon. The pebble painting workshop hosted by the Ancrerie delighted young and old alike. Participants were also able to make lanterns with recycled materials and leave with their own creation.

The Compagnons Bâtisseurs proposed the manufacture of a wooden grocer, adding an artisanal and practical dimension to the event. A sensory walk and a round table organized by Bourgs en transitions allowed around ten people to discover local plants from a new angle.

A successful intergenerational event

The debate on the revegetation of the old center, hosted by TFM Part’agence, brought together many participants and sparked rich and constructive discussions. Artistic performances and moments of sharing which continued in the afternoon with enchanted tales told by Véronique Monte in the shared gardens.

An Be Donke led an introductory session on African dance, accompanied by percussion. The end of the gourmet and festive day ended with the soup disco hosted by La Bringuette. This initiative raised awareness of the fight against food waste and brought together many people in a festive atmosphere.

La Tête dans le copper and the Works’hop association hosted the evening, while DJ Ahmed provided the musical atmosphere. For all association leaders, “the intergenerational event was a success and this day, marked by emotions, laughter and enriching discussions, was a real success thanks to the commitment and exceptional coordination of the associations and the active participation of volunteers and residents “.
