But the sale of the Saint-Etienne team could revive this issue. With greater financial resources, the Kilmer Sports Ventures group could well buy out its contract, if it wishes.
L’ASSE had a hollow nose when completing the arrival of Irvin Cardona last January. Loaned by Augsburg without a purchase option, the attacker provided valuable services to the Saint-Etienne team. Author of ten goals in the Saint-Etienne jersey, he particularly distinguished himself in the home stretch of the season. Its importance in the rise of ASSE is major. But as provided for in the deal negotiated with Augsburg, Cardona will not evolve into League 1 next season.

The ball is now in the court of the buyers, who have the financial means to buy out his contract. According to the specialized site Transfermarkt, Cardona would be valued at €1.8M. The group’s position Kilmer Sports Ventures is not yet known.
