The Canadian Grand Prix continues this Friday evening with free practice 2. After a first session marked by wet conditions, the ten teams on the grid should find a dry track thanks to the return of the sun at the end of free practice 1 on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, the 4.361 km track is distinguished by its turns that are both tight and fast. To shine in Montreal, drivers will have to spend no less than 69% of the lap at full throttle. without making the slightest mistake under penalty of ending up in the walls which delimit the track. To perfectly negotiate the 14 turns that litter the track, the teams will have to rely on a particularly lively chassis to respond to the different changes of direction at high speed.characteristics that could well match the McLaren already efficient during free practice 1.
