If many Americans have already voted by mail or in advance, the majority of voters will go to the polls tomorrow to elect their 47th president. Who, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, will enter the White House on January 20? This is the whole question that will agitate the editorial offices of several French television stations throughout the night.
America has a meeting with its History
The future of America has interested (and worried) the entire world for several months now and the outcome is fast approaching. Who will succeed Joe Biden? Will the world's leading power see Donald Trump take back the reins of the country or will it make history by electing its first black president? Debates, portraits of Republican and Democratic candidates and their running mates, as well as special programs have already been broadcast in recent weeks almost everywhere and no one yet knows who will win in this election, one of the most indecisive of these 50 recent years.
Live results from 6 p.m.
The outcome of this election will undoubtedly influence international geopolitics, the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine and Europe will have its eyes fixed on the United States next night and in the days that follow. In France, TF1 and France 2 will be on the air all night, as will the news channels BFM TV, LCI and France Info.
It is LCI which will open the 6 p.m. ball with a special edition live from Washington presented by Darius Rochebin, Jean-Baptiste Boursier and Margot Haddad.
