In an off-season marked by rare changes, the coaches’ waltz is frantic in Normandy. Expected to turn the corner since the significant departure of Vincent Laigneau a few days ago, US Alençon will not have remained without a partner for very long since the club announced, this Friday, June 7, that it is Arnaud Cormier who will accompany its future dances. Known in particular for his role as head coach of the professional team of Le Mans FC (which was still called MUC 72 at the time), the 48-year-old technician will have the mission of leading the Ornaise first team into its future. fights in National 3.

Having worked in particular with Montpellier HSC and FC Metz as assistant coach, Arnaud Cormier has been without a position since his time with the EA Guingamp reserve, during the 2022-2023 season. His role on the US Alençon side will not be limited to the first team alone since, like Vincent Laigneau before him, he will also occupy the role of general manager of the club. While the movements in the various National 3 teams have already begun, particularly within the USA, Arnaud Cormier’s mission will now involve building a squad capable of riding the dynamic of his predecessor, who finished 2e of the last championship won by AS Villers-Houlgate. In Normandy, we are finally starting to see the end of this astonishing game of musical chairs.
