Second in the Brazilian Grand Prix contested in Sao Paulo, Esteban Ocon is accompanied on the podium by his teammate Pierre Gasly.
FORMULA 1 – Unheard of since 1997. So of course, it's not a French victory but for the first time in 27 years (Olivier Panis and Jean Alesi in Spain), two French drivers got on the podium together in a Formula 1 grand prix. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly finished second and third behind Max Verstappen, this Sunday, November 3 in São Paulo.
This Brazilian Grand Prix contested in the rain is obviously the most successful for the French team Alpine-Renault which was languishing before the race in penultimate place in the constructors' world championship. It was also celebrated as a victory by the French team.

“I knew that in the rain it would be more balanced. I like it when it rains here”underlined Esteban Ocon at the finish after signing his fourth podium. “We suffered a lot this season. Two cars on the podium, no one could have imagined that, it’s great”also enthused Pierre Gasly who is on a podium for the fifth time.
To end this rainy but successful day of racing in style for the French team, Alpine made a real comeback in the general constructors' classification, going from ninth to sixth place. And this, with three grand prix at the end of the season.
