UA 15-year-old teenager, seriously injured by gunfire during a shooting Thursday evening in Poitiers, succumbed to his injuries this Saturday in the middle of the day, announced the Poitiers public prosecutor. Urgently hospitalized for a head injury, the victim had since suffered a life-threatening condition.

A man is already wanted by the authorities
Prosecutor Cyril Lacombe indicated this Friday that a man who “would have engaged in the sale of narcotics”, in the area where the attack occurred, is actively sought by investigators. The prosecution declares having seized seven ammunition of the same caliber as the eleven found in front of the restaurant, as well as “partial elements of a dismantled weapon”, during a search of a home that the man would have occupied.

The events took place in the priority district of Couronneries, where, according to the prefect of Vienne, “two or three important deal points mobilize the national police daily”. This neighborhood, however, remains “relatively calm,” assures prefect Jean-Marie Girier, who specifies that it is not “run by drug dealers.”
Scuffles took place Thursday evening after the events, involving a few dozen people, according to the police and the prosecution.
