The Ardennes are in good shape at the French Elite swimming championships, organized in . The Carolo and son of the Charleville-Mézières swimming coach, Tom Rémy smashed his record over 200 medleys in 1'58''05 (2'02''72 previously) and won the bronze medal.

A superb achievement and the reward after hard work to return to his best level following an injury that kept him away from the pools for several months.

Émilien Mattenet sixth in the 200m medley

A few minutes before, Tom Rémy had competed in the 50m breaststroke final where he beat his personal best in 27''51 (compared to 27''67, his previous record) and ranked 7th.

His teammate Émilien Mattenet finished 6th in the 200m medley final (5th Frenchman in 1'58''90). Another performance for the CMN swimmers with 2nd place in the B final over 200 medleys in 1'59''68.

New personal best for Raphaël Blamart (2'03''10) who, at 18, is getting closer to the two-minute mark. Hats off to the three Carolos. Yohann Werhann improves his best time on the same event to 2'06''03. He beats his previous record of 2'08''70 as well as Neo Derangere in 2'07''07 against 2'10''12.
