The 11th edition of the SAC-À-DONS Campaign was officially launched Wednesday June 5, at the Hôtel de Chicoutimi and already a sum of 14,000 has been raised.
This campaign, organized in collaboration by the Foundation for Children and Youth of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, the Société Saint-Vincent-de-Paul and Jean Coutu, aims to offer deprived children the same back to school than the others.
Each year, these organizations collect money, target young people in need and make them personalized school bags based on their needs.
The administrator of Jean Coutu Jonquière, Dominick Béland confided that for for the first time this year, six Métro Plus in Alma, Jonquière and Chicoutimi will collect donations in branch from June 5 to 22 and will offer $2,000 in gift cards on this occasion.
The collection of donations in Jean Coutu branches will take place from July 5 to 31. For Jean Coutu, the goal this year is to raise 60 000 $or 5,000 $ more than the previous edition, in order to be able to help fifty additional young people.
The president of the Foundation for Children and Youth, Stéphanie Gagné, proudly explains the impact of the help provided to these 600 young people. “It’s the concrete impact we have on young people.
