Jura: Country day in Champagnole

During this period of cold and rainy weather, it was not easy to organize our traditional country day. It was without counting on the luck that was going to smile on us!

And it was under an almost spring sky that around sixty members of the Ud39 met at the Champagnole outdoor center on 1er June, for this second edition of the festive picnic.

This day, which is an opportunity to strengthen intergenerational ties between members, began with a common aperitif. A barbecue, made available to guests, allowed meat to be grilled and everyone took their place, either outside or inside for those who were more cautious.

At the end of the meal from the bag, several outdoor activities were offered and many gathered to compete in “molkky” or “cornhole”, but also in belote!

Our comrade Jules, who had brought his equipment, provided the musical part, leading a few improvised dancers.

The sparkling eyes and radiant faces of our elders reflected their feeling of having had another good day.

See you in 2025 for the 3rd edition.

Eric Durieux-Trouilleton, president of Ud39.
