The Critérium du Dauphiné (June 2 to 9), the cycling race prelude to the Tour de France, arrives in Haute-Loire this Tuesday, June 4.

This will cause traffic disruptions on the department’s roads and it is necessary to anticipate your movements.

Traffic cuts of around 20 minutes

Motorists, bikers or roadside spectators will need to take precautions around the race.

The passage of the peloton caused traffic cuts of around 20 minutes, “except in Estables where traffic arrangements will be put in place to accommodate the arrival”, indicates the Department of Haute-Loire, which plans a crossing from the line around 4:45 p.m., a time which will obviously depend on the racing conditions.

The route

Before climbing to Les Estables, the finish point of this third stage, the peloton coming from Celles-sur-Durolle (Puy-de-Dôme) will enter the Altiligère territory in the north of the department via the RD13 coming from Dore-l Church (between 2:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.) and turn left towards the coast of Saint-Victor-sur-Arlanc, before passing through Craponne-sur-Arzon.

The runners will descend to Retournac (RD9) and return to Yssingeaux via Malataverne (RD103). They will cross the sub-prefecture between 3:34 p.m. and 3:52 p.m., depending on their speed from the start.

Arrival scheduled between 4:43 p.m. and 5:07 p.m.

They will head towards Meygal via Recharinges (RD42), cross the RD15 to enter the Mézenc country, head towards Fay-sur-Lignon (RD26), go right via the RD500 to Freycenet-la-Tour, then go down left to the RD631 which goes up to Les Estables via La Vacheresse.

The finish is scheduled between 4:43 p.m. and 5:07 p.m., according to the race average estimated by the organizer, ASO.

At the finish line this Tuesday afternoon, Météo France announces clearings then sunshine, as well as a temperature of 15°C.
