And over one year, private salaried employment increased by 0.6% (+123,100).

In the 4th quarter of 2019, the last quarter before the health crisis, the number of salaried jobs in the private sector stood at 19,931,700. There have therefore been 1,230,900 net job creations in the private sector since then.

What you need to know about this indicator: the concept of employment within the framework of this indicator refers to the criteria of the International Labor Office (ILO). It includes both people who have worked at least one hour over a given period, but also employed people who have not worked for various reasons (partial unemployment, sick leave, etc.). Employment figures are calculated by INSEE with Urssaf and Dares. For the private sector, a flash estimate is published approximately one month before the full figures.
