Throughout the department, farmers are mobilizing this Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in different forms, at the initiative of the FDSEA and Young Farmers. Several roundabouts are busy in Maine-et-Loire.
“Many fires of anger have been kindled,” confirms Emmanuel Lachaize, president of the FDSEA 49. Six points were identified at Lion-d'Angers (Super U), Pouancé (Fer à Cheval roundabout), Beaufort-en-Vallée (Terrena roundabout), in Longué-Jumelles (Super U roundabout), in Brissac (Leclerc roundabout) and Chemillé (Leclerc roundabout).
In Brissac, around forty farmers gathered on the Leclerc roundabout. “It's not a blockage, it's a communication action to get a message across: we're fed up with administrative paperwork, explains Vincent Colineau, farmer in Rochefort. There was progress last year, but since the new government, things have stopped moving. We no longer want words, we want actions. » In total, more than a hundred farmers are participating in the operation.
Boots hung on city entrances
The operation is not intended to last over time and should end overnight. In the evening, boots were hung on the panels of several town entrances in the department. A symbolic operation of hanging up the boots, to remind us of the farmers' fed up.
