AMD counterattacks Arrow Lake: a price drop and new X3D processor(s) are coming!

WhileArrow Lake is in its final sprint before its official release (and can’t stand running away everywhere!), AMD don’t stay still. Although its range had already been made official this summer (here for a little reading about it) with Zen 5 as conductor, we were disappointed at the time by a price higher than expected and which did not push not to update, particularly given the performance of the 5600X3D and other 7800X3D. This strongly smacked of a commercial strategy aimed at filling one’s pockets while the competition catches up: guess what? Our intuition was confirmed, since the Reds today formalized a price drop — effective since yesterday, by the way — on their range Ryzen 9000.

Thus, the Ryzen 9 9950X loses $50 to peak at $599, and the other Ryzens (9900X, 9700X and 9600X) drop by only $30 to stabilize at $469, $329 and $249 respectively, a price adjustment which does not It had also not gone unnoticed by the English-speaking media. Fortunately for us Europeans, the discount is also valid here, although the exact amount in euros has not yet reached our ears.

The matter could have ended there, but the Reds had one more surprise up their sleeve: the card AMD Ryzen X3Dwhich will arrive in stores on November 7. A 9950X3D? A 9800X3D? Both ? Or a less expensive 7700X3D? Speculations are open, nothing more filtering from the mouths of the little secret keepers at Lisa Su. To be continued!
