A 47-year-old man was shot and killed yesterday evening in the middle of the street in Saint-Egrève, north of Grenoble, we learned on Monday from the public prosecutor’s office in the Alpine metropolis.
The victim was parking his scooter in front of a property when he was the target of several gunshots, the perpetrator(s) of which fled before the arrival of the firefighters and the Samu, indicated the prosecution, confirming information from the regional daily The Dauphiné liberated.
The forty-year-old died on the spot despite first aid. According to the newspaper, he was hit “with a single impact” in the back, but “the number of impacts remains to be determined by the autopsy (one or two)”, according to the Grenoble prosecutor’s office.
“No link has been made with a drug case at the moment. The victim had no known involvement in this area,” added the deputy prosecutor, François Touret de Coucy, to the press.
